Saving The Lives Of Student Athletes
RAP Initiatives: Research, Awareness & Prevention
By sharing the Tyrell Spencer story and teaching hands only CPR and AED training, we are able to provide continuous awareness and prevention to ensure the safety of our Student Athletes.
THIS IS PERSONAL:
After the sudden death of Tyrell Spencer, a student athlete, who collapsed while playing basketball, the Tyrell Spencer Foundation was created to protect and educate others on Cardiac Arrhythmias in student athletes.
The Tyrell Spencer Act was signed into law by Alabama Governor, Kay Ivey on 5/23/2023 requiring schools, recreation centers and coaches to be educated on the signs of sudden cardiac arrest and prevention which includes establishing Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), and having AEDs within 5 minutes of sport events and more.

The Fight is Continuous
This FEDERAL LAW was signed into law by President Biden in December 2024 to protect athletes, create action plans and provide funding for training and AEDs!
My meetings with Legislators and Senate team in Washington, DC to help them understand why a federal law to protect students and student athletes was a success!
Protecting others is the most important thing!
Your support and contributions will enable us to fund our mission to protect our student athletes.
